Paint Modes

 Brush Mode

Paint using painterly brushes. Great for filling in rough shapes, texture details, and mass placing objecs with automatic variation as a scatter brush.

LazyLine & GeoLine Mode

When in GeoLine mode, click anywhere on the canvas to start a line. Following clicks will continue painting straight line parts that are connected at sharp corners.

Rightclicking, switching to a different paint mode or using the escape or back key will complete the current line.

LazyLine Mode allows you to freely paint smooth, continuous lines.

In both line modes, the way your texture pattern repeats across the line can be controlled using the tiling and shifting settings.

The option to taper line ends via curves will follow soon, until then it is possible to use specific brushtips to get a solid line with tapered start and end parts.

Tweak Previous

Tweak Previous is a special function for Brush, LazyLine and GeoLine Mode. Activating the "Tweak Previous" button after drawing something lets you tweak the previously drawn stroke, letting you edit an existing stroke's size, color, opacity, and more!

Attributes that can be edited via "Tweak Previous" will be highlighted in blue while the mode is active. Click "Tweak Previous" again to exit the mode afterwards. Only the last brushstroke can be edited this way.

It's especially useful for getting the line brush repetition on Geo or LazyLines just right!

Stamp Mode

Stamp Mode lets you precisely place an image/brushtip in your scene, using transform tools.

The active stamp can be transformed until you switch to a different paint or add a new stamp using the Plus icon on the stamp controls.

Gradient Mode

Gradient Mode lets you create color gradients across the entire scene. Pick a color, then select "Add Color" to add a color card to your gradient. To change the color on existing color cards, pick a color, then select "Color" on the color card that you want to assign the color to.

Note that you can assign colors with transparency as well using the transparency bar at the bottom of the color selector!

The color cards can be draged up and down to change their position in the gradient, or deleted using their X button.

You can apply the gradient or chose to cancel and delete it. Please note that the gradient will not be editable after you apply it, but you can always add additional gradients.
